Usage：

1. Petroleum Industry – Oxygen Scavenger & Deodorizer: Used as an oxygen scavenger in drilling mud to effectively remove dissolved oxygen, thereby preventing corrosion of well pipes; also used as a deodorizer by reacting with hydrogen sulfide (H₂S) to eliminate odors.

2. Pharmaceutical Industry – Reducing Agent: Ammonium bisulfite is a strong reducing agent. It preferentially reacts with dissolved oxygen in the solution or with reactive intermediates such as peroxides formed during drug oxidation, thereby protecting the active pharmaceutical ingredient from oxidation.
3. Pharmaceutical Industry – Aldehyde Scavenger: Utilizes sulfonation reaction to convert aldehydes into stable, water soluble sulfonates, thereby removing them from the system.
4. Food Additive – Catalyst: Provides ammonium ions and bisulfite ions that work synergistically under hightemperature conditions to produce caramel color with extremely high acid stability and high coloring power.
5. Synthetic Fiber Manufacturing: In the production of synthetic fibers, ammonium bisulfite is used as a raw material in the manufacture of caprolactam.
